jcw wheels rubbing?

was driving across a favourite b road of mine today, speeds varying a little (not too hight though ) over a couple of bumpy sections I heard a loud high pitch rubbing noise that was very alarming. has anyone else come across this?

incidentally (refering to a earlier post i created 2 days ago) i reduced my tyre pressures, to 31 psi. though increased them to 33psi all round, though dont think this should cause any problems..

thoughts?

did you fit the wheels yourself? The reason I ask is that mini fit a steering lock limiter with JCW wheels - could this be your problem?

no, they were dealer fit and have the steering limiter on, traced it down to the sunroof making the noise!! so loud that it sounds like the wheels rubbing!!
