16" alloys + low et

help please
had decided some time ago on some replacements for 17" s spoke, been Thu this forum a few times now and had almost decided to go for 16" wheels as its suggested that they are
1] faster
2] offer more mpg
3] cheaper to buy
4] taller rubber = wheels looking good for longer + added comfort

i like the look of both team dynamics pro race 1.2 and oz wrc/ultralegga
a few things holding me back at the moment

will any saving in wheel cost be off set by lack of choice/higher price of replacement rubber

the et on these smaller wheels looks [too] low compared to 17" so i assume a square profile wheel such as Yoko spec 2 will pull off my arches
why is no body else running them?, can see only 2 other users in 16" with this option

other info
mcs ss+ daily driver 220gtt possible lower by 20-30mm or fsd to come next year
no intention [yet] to get big brake kits or going racing
can anybody convince me which way to go?

What are the offsets of the 16" wheels you're considering?

As long as you don't want run flat tires, there's lots of tires to choose from in 205/50-16 size.

Looks like you can get 16x7 Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2 in ET40 or ET45 ...

The "4, 5, 8 & 10" should be in the "Stud" column for the second 16x7 entry. There are two 16x7 entries because for this size, offets lower than ET35 are only available for the 4 stud application.

thanks for clearing that for me, now i know it can be done safely,

still left wondering why so few others have taken 16" option up on this popular wheel
