There are a couple of threads already from people who have done this. This one was the first that a quick search brought up.

Apparently, they're a bit more shiny than the genuine wheels, and are heavier, but don't look too different (apart from the awful WORX logo on the centre-cap!)

I'm sure the GP owners amongst us will tell you why you shouldn't fit them, but if you actually like them go for it...

There's mine in that thread. They are in the 17 inch flavour. I swapped the worx center cap for the originals.

I'm not sure what they'd look like on a blue mini! I love them though.

i really like these wheels on other mini's - not just the GP!

from what i've seen, black and pepper white are the best cars for them, and also dark silver on the cooper s look good!

not sure about your color though, would be a good idea to photoshop some onto your car first me thinks!

I am also thinking of getting these wheels for my MC. Its finished in LY (car pics are in my gallery). I think that 18's would be better suited.

Any comments? Pics?

Anybody had concerns over the quality or durability of these wheels?

thanks for your comments on this thread, went to have tyres fitted on these earlier today but DRAMA'S the tyres on my s spokes were a ******* to get off, and one of them was shoot after hitting a VERY large pothole the other week. although would never had known, if i hadn't pop into the garage this afternoon. anyway tyres was going to cost £197 (dunlop runflat) kwick fit prices? madness!!

anyway instead of that i got in touch with the dealers i brought them from and change them in for R90's with brand new tyres for £200 more. so in the end i got what i wanted, and i feel that as some of you have already said the colour of my mini was maybe not hte best.

so if anyone want some spare runflats in 17' i have 3 spares will ptu them in the classifed tomorrow for £30 each about 6mm of tread on each.

anyway again thanks

Anyone know the weight of these replicas?

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

The 18" ones are apparently 9.5kg each.

I thought about them, then opted for the official "GP" wheels (pics below). The GP wheels are even lighter than the 17" bullets I had before.

I dont know about the replicas, but the official ones have a fantastic finish on them, it is like teflon, as used on non stick frying pans. When you take a rim off and wash it, its just like washing a frying pan the way the water runs across it.

Hadn't really thought about it before, but I guess so, as all JCW alloys are 18"

Does seem a little strange when MINI themselves have stated the optimum handling etc is gained from 16" wheels.

hmm... for looks and general motoring on the roads 18" is good on the mini, but there are a few people who use their GP's on the track aren't there, so yeah, as you say they would probably be better off with 16"...

anyway, i'm just being pedantic, cos 18" looks mint on the mini so it's all good!!

About £800 for wheels alone, and you'd need a GP vin number, JCW engine number and roof number which all matched up to order them

would a dealer you are on good terms with do this for you or i suppose you could just go into dealers and get vin and number form a second hand one up for sale?

Would GP owners like seeing their wheels on say s works cars?

Can't imagine many dealers would do this, or keep all those numbers on file or want to be seen to be ordering many GP parts, especially against one number of car
