Car's just been for it's oil service nothing can go wrong!

Well i let them wash and vac it!

And someone looks to have used the worlds strongest wheel cleaner on (as i'm learning now) my rather delicate R90's!

Big patches stripped off the silver outer edges of 2 wheels!

And trouble is i know they weren't there before cos i spent weds dinner time scrubbing them!

Lets see what happens when I go back to see them tonight after the chat i've just had on the phone! (they seemed very keen to help over the phone)

Hopefully they won't just turn round and say wear and tear hard luck!

could have happened anywhere i suppose!

but it's little things like attention detail, reading posts on here that i purposely didn't buy alloy wheel cleaner and do it myself!

knowing how delicate that outer ring is!

Shouldn't happen at a MINI dealer. They should be familiar with how delicate those rims are, or that Alloy cleaner shouldn't be used on that type of wheel.

Like Humph said, you'd expect them to know which products to use/not use

They might have a brand spanking new set waiting for you when you get there

or maybe not

Well they've been refurbed so not or fault at all and you didn't say don't wash and vac it and it's just been through our standard procedure!

There painted chrome not polished!

Then showed me a showroom wheel!

Then tried saying either find your receipt or give me a call and we'll see what we can do!

But they were immaculate this morning! how do i know that prove it?

I'm sat here thinking a bargain never turns out to really be one!

If only I could find my receipt!

I wish I was surprised by their attitude, unfortunately it's far too common.

I don't really know what to suggest mate - just give them hell and batter them into submission!

I'm sure there must be some legal bods on here that can help you out?

Just don't let them fob you off with lame excuses - threaten them with violence!

(only joking by the way - violence isn't the answer... well, not all the time anyway

)

Definitely take it higher up the chain - they've effectively damaged your personal property regardless of whether they're refurbed or not.

next time just do what i do and leave a note in the car telling the dealer not to wash the car.
