R105 and R107 wheel finishes - MINI Cooper Forum

Has anyone seen both the R105 double-spoke and R107 GP wheels in the flesh?

Are the lip and spoke faces on the R107 wheels machined (polished) like on the R105 wheels?

R105 has machine marks. R107 is just polished, no machine marks.

To me, machined and polished means the same thing ... bare metal is buffed shiny and covered with a clear coat

That is it Ron. Fuzzy checked my GP wheels yesterday and he says machined and coated. Not sure if the coating is clearcoat or paint.

Go into your local dealer and look at them if you dont believe me theres a difference to the finish below the laquer.
