Quick wheel fitmet question

Hey guys,
I am putting these spacer things into my wheels but don't know which way round to put them:

Do the 4 raised parts go car or wheel side?

Thanks for any help.

Just got the answer from a friend. They are called spigot rings and the 4 raised bits go wheel side.

Hope that helps somebody in the future.
