whats the best tyre psi

Hi guys,

Ive got 17's on my MCS and run flats. Whats the best psi to have them set too? Also do yours tend to go down slightly over time? My warning light comes on every few months, but then i pump them up agaion and reset it and everything seems fine.

Cheers
S

I believe the suggested psi for the the 17" is 35 all around. Most tires will lose air after long periods of time, or drops in temp., but not every few months. If you're warning light is coming on, then that means one of you tires is losing air faster than the others. I would say you have a slow leak In one of your tires. Next time the warning light comes on, check all four tires for pressure, I bet one is noticeably lower than the others.

According to the label on the drivers door panel it should be 35psi all around, but I have run higher pressures on the rear on all my front wheel drive cars in an attempt to improve balance. On the MCS I run 32psi front and 37psi rear. I have covered 12k miles with this setup and when I swapped front to rear at 10k ( first service ) they were wearing even across the width. I have never had to top up pressures either, so i would guess you have a slow puncture.
