Remember that the less pad you have the less area you have to dissipate heat = more likely to experience brake fade. Also the more heat the quicker the pad will wear.

The minimum recommended thickness of pads is 3mm. I don't know at what level the warning light comes on.

ditto - just had mine done front & rear - was done before the light came on - has started to feel it a little in the pedal. If the light comes on you'll also have to pay a little more to have the sensor replaced too.

i'm booked in tomorrow for the brakes & the last tlc service. there's only about 1200 miles to go to service so they agreed to do it at the same time.

it was a bit scary doing a run recce around the yorkshire dales on saturday with the warning light on
