Offline | Space saver spare wheel Having had a close shave with a slow puncture, i am now after a space saver wheel which I can keep in the boot as a back up. (I don't like the look of the spray gel). I would feel more comfortable knowing I have an actual wheel as a backup. I have rang a couple of local scrap yards, but had no joy, does anyone know where I may be able to get one of these spare space saver wheels from?? Thanks |

Offline | A bit of detective work shows that the bolt pattern & centre bore diameter are the same between MINI & MG ZR/ZS, so a 15" MG space saver might fit if it has enough offset. I think the MINI space saver only fits on the rear wheels and if you get a front flat you have to swap and normal wheel over to the front & fit the saver on the rear. I will have a word with an MG owner and see if his spacesaver fits later this week. |

Offline | Bad news I am afraid. Borrowed a full size steel wheel off an MG ZS V6 and it don't fit. Front & back not enough clearance for the brake caliper! Oh well, back to the drawing board! |
