Offline | Looking on there now, cheers for the tip! I'm seriously annoyed about it cuz all the wheels where absolutely mint until today, I may even call BMW tomorrow to get a quote for a new one ![]() |

Offline | Refurb should be a possibility - I had three of my R99's done for £140 by a main dealer, and it was extra because of their 'polished' nature. So it could be cheaper than buying a whole new one. If you go to a good place it would be almost impossible to tell it had been repaired. |

Offline | Refurb is probably the way to go I guess, any idea how long it takes to get it done? The benefit of a new wheel is it only takes half an hour to get the tire swapped over! still kicking myself now! |

Offline | To do the three of mine dropped the car off at 8.30 am - had it back by 2pm. So for one it would probably be a couple of hours. Hope you manage to get it sorted mate. |

Offline | Yeh I got it done in the end. It was bugging me knowing it was there, even though from the pavement, if you werent looking for the damage. you could not see it. The two with the light kerbing are un-noticeable. The one which had an entire spoke mangled is slightly obvious when the wheel has just been cleaned, but again, only if you get down and your knees to look. This is because the workshop could not get a 100% colour match. Thanks for the positive remarks about the car. Over in the diesel section (where no one posts!!) there is a thread with what I've done to the car. Spots are the latest edition. Thinking of a roof spolier next, cooper s or aero. James. |

Offline | ![]() Just done this to one of my wheels (R56 MCS). Really not that bad but I am so fed up. Any simple way of tidying it up. about 5cm long & 0.5cm wide at the edge of the wheel. Cobbled roads ![]() |

| MINI2 Regular | Firstly you can sand it back with some 280-grit and then 400-grit sand paper.. that will atleast get rid of the 'rough' look.. then apply some filla and sand it back more until smooth.. and then spray with silver laquer. I've just done a few of mine that had a few marks - they on sale now! "bhp sells cars, torque makes them move..." |
