Looks very good, I wonder if larger wheels will push it into the "cartoonish" category, looks much better than standard like that though.

Thank you...I went to a Mini MINI meet today and I asked around..I will stay with 17's..the 18's will harden the ride, no good.

wise choice bud. The wheels look virtually 18 already as the fill the arch so convincely. the stiff tyre wall would hammer the ride and make it unbearable on 18in rims. Having said that the interstate's smooth asphalt surfaces is miles better than british motorways.

That looks mega!!! Defo stay with the 17s, they look wicked Just imagining an all AB with flame spokes, tints on the lower suspension... Pretty darn irresistable

A dream can only become a reality if you chase it...

well thank you for the nice comments, pretty much i have decided to stick with the 17's, however the runflats have to go..they feel way to heavy, I would like to be under the 20 lbs per wheel not including tyres of course.

NIce to see an R56 at a proper ride height. I'm not even going to consider getting one while it looks like a mini 4x4.

Yeah, that's the same conclusion I'm coming to as well: stick with 17's.

I think the lower sidewall on the 18's would make for a punising ride (and possibly some bent metal).

Going away from the runflats will make a difference, but we'll see... I don't think it'll be enough to convince me to ever go for a lower profile rim.

Looks top bud! By how much was it lowered? Must say it makes the R56 very appealing to me with the way that yours looks!

Yep. The lowered R56 definately looks much more MINI.

While at a local MINI event (well, a British car ralley, actually) there was a MINI couple (their BRG Cooper was parked nearby) standing literally right next to my car talking about how they hadn't seen any R56s at the ralley. They went on to say how you could pick the car out easily since it's balloned up and grown so much taller. I started to laugh a bit but kept the conversation going before eventually opening up my car right becide them. It was actually the first sight of the redwood red leather that gave it away (They were not at an angle to see the monster speedo ).

The H&R claim is 1.4" front and rear, but I think mine was lowered a bit more..does not rub at all and the handling has gone up considerably specially in hard fast turns, I am also running with a 19mm rear sway bar set to tighter.

I really like the ride, lower the car about 1.4 F&R...I am not sure if anyone besides H&R has springs yet.... I have used H&R's in 4 vehicles and never had a problem.
