Locking Wheel nuts.....

its driving me nuts!!!

I've a 07 cabriolet, just got some new alloys and the standard mini locking wheel nut is too short, I've been to all the motor factors locally and they have looked in their catalogues and they all say 12 x 1.5.

Now i've taken a bolt, through past experience buying something and then getting it home only to be wrong, and comparing it to the bolts that they suggest.

Guess what wrong size! I need a 14mm bolt!!

Have the size's changed? Am I being cynical and thinking that BMW have done it so you have to go back to a main dealer and pay through the nose??!

Can anyone advise as to any aftermarket sellers?

Had the same problem myself, wanted some longer studs for my Sept 06 Works, try Nigel at sales@greystoneengineering.com I ordered longer studs and their reference was SB62 : 14mm 1.25 60° seat 40mm long 17mm hex zinc bolts. Good Luck.

PS I am still trying to find some longer locking nuts for this thread pitch !!
