Aftermarket wheels - tyre question...

....with aftermarket wheels what is the situation regarding runflat tyres?

Do I need to specifically request them for fitment? Where do I stand with going run-flat less as there is no spare, and I haven't specced one (can you even have one on the R56? - not seen it on an option list anywhere )
