Offline | would be surprised if more than 15% improvement over stock, as according to the r90 regs that's all your allowed? a triumph of red tape over comman sense, eg if you could fit f1 performance brake pads to the mini [yes i know you can't and if you could you would not want to change for new every few hundred miles] your upgrade would be more than a 15% improvement over stock and so not allowed ![]() ![]() carefree |

Offline | Well I will be putting them on this weekend... so will give a report next week.. new discs and pads plus a change in brake fluid and bleed. not looking for anything other than a little more bite at speed.. had mintex 1155 and 1144's on my last cooper s.. (now own a 05 jcw) will update on my experiences.. |

Offline | got the pads, new disks and bled the brakes, with help from one of my friends who hillclimbs an f1engined pilbeam.. so had all the kit and know how to set up brakes well.. simple job really, just easier with the right tools etc. what a difference!...there was lots of air in the system. the mintex pads are beding in nicely and are feeling good. taking it easy as only done 90miles on them, but improved over stock. Remember I'm not looking for track performance here, just good progressive road performance... a fluid 'change' was performed by the dealer only 3k miles ago!!! Offline | yep better than standard, so far.. much better more positive bite. Not trying too hard with them, so cant tell if they are more fade resistant, doubt there will be a massive difference there with standard disks and dot 4 fluid, but the system is working well for road use. |
