MCS Wheels

I've had some 17" MCS alloy wheels put on my Cooper which had 16" five star alloys originally, the problem is that the tracking seems to have got worse as outer side of the tread on the both passenger and driver sides are wearing down the tread, it also pulls to one side or another when stopping and often seems hard to handle, i'm not saying its hard to drive just not as good as the original 16" wheel. Is this a known problem when changing wheel sizes, can this be fixed by a good tracking mechanic, or a BMW garage only.

Thanks

Steve Mac

you just need to get the tracking inc camber & caster angles done - any tyre place, accident repair bodyshop should have the kit;

bm will charge you £100+ for a full wheel alignment

Is it both edges of the tyres? It sounds like this could potentially be a tyre pressure issue. Certainly changing the wheels would not cause this. What pressure are you running?

BMW put them on, I was told they they would handle slightly different to the 16"ers, but not this bad, yes tyre pressure correct, and done with a full tank (someone said best done that way), ATS have the gear, other suggestions
