How much to ask for a set of 16" Bridge Spokes with runflats?
I don't like the feel of runflats so I've bought myself a new set of wheels fitted with standard tyres. This leaves the four wheels/tyres from my 2006 Park Lane looking for a new home. They are 16" Bridge Spokes, which were standard on the Park Lane and are available as optional equipment on R56 models.
Three of the wheels are perfect and the other has very minor scuffing on the rim, which is unnoticeable when the tyres are on the car. Wheels and rubber have all done 6000 miles: the front tyres have a tread depth of 5 mm and the rear ones 7 mm.
Three questions then:
1) Where's the best place to sell these? On this site, eBay, or somewhere else?
2) How much should I ask for them?
3) Can anybody recommend a reliable specialist wheel courier?
Here is free and full of MINI people, eBay isn't free, but has a wider audience. Not sure where else is free and/or has a wider audience than those two.
I've seen some fail to sell a few times on eBay, they were asking for £150 plus postage I think!
Ebay you can just let them bid up but I suppose put a reserve of £100-150 on them. Can't see them going for too much more than that. research the Market of alloys on there already and base your price on that. Maybe watch a few sets through to end to get a good idea.
I listed my wheels as collection only but I once used the courier through work and they did a great job.
FYI - other wheel sellers
The wheels sold easily (within 24 hours) on this site's classifieds for £170+carriage. On eBay there were loads of watchers after three days (when I cancelled the sale) but bidding hadn't started.
