Offline | Run-flat tyre sizes Hi All, after 51,000 Km , yes thats 51,000, I'm sure my MINI service centre's going to tell me to replace my run flat tyres which I'm sure would get to 60,000 no problem. Now, I've tried search but had no luck trying to find a list of tyres sizes which would fit my S Spokes. I'd like to get a slightly wider and slightly higher profile tyre than I currently have, which are the standard Dunlops originally fitted. Thanks, Mike. ![]() 2005 JCW Mini Cooper S Chilli |

| MINI2 Senior | you mean the standard dunlop runflats ?, im sure by wanted a larger profile its because of theuncomfortable ride ??? and wider for traction, id personally replace them with Non Runflats, i just replaced my dunlop stock runflats (as they were horrible) with conventional Goodyear Eagle F1 GSD3 215/40/17 (runflats were 215/45/17) even thow these are an even lower profile the ride comfort is SOOOOO much better, also the grip in both wet and dry is phenominal. Also they were cheaper two, 4 of these bad boys with fitting and goodyear tyre service warranty cost me $925, the runflats would of cost in excess of 2000 (520 a tyre i was quoted *shudder*) you may ask what happens if you get a flat ? went out bought myself an Air compressor, 2 cans of fii leak and a Plugging kit for a massive price of $35 at autobarn, hope that helps some how ![]() Callan |

Offline | Run flats Err no, I want to replace my tyres with run flats. I like runflats,, I'd just like to get a slightly wider and a taller profile tyre. So I'm looking to see what larger than standard size runflats will fit S Spokes . I'm a runflat fan. ![]() thanks, Mike. ![]() 2005 JCW Mini Cooper S Chilli |

Offline | Mike, there's some Bridgestone runflats, but am pretty sure their sizing is OEM. The thread below is probably a bit out of date now, but may offer some assistance... http://www.mini2.com/forum/wheels-ty...ight=australia ![]() |

Offline | If you wanted to stay with Runflats, have a look at the Bridgestones. If you want wider and taller, the problem will be that your speedo and odometer will not be accurate. Here's the link for Bridgestone runflats. They have OEM size or taller or wider. I wouldn't know what size would suit S-Spokes as I have 16" on mine. Bridgestone RE050 I have the other Bridgestone runflats on my car. Turanza ER300 RFT and they were much better ride and grip than the original Goodyears. |

Offline | Run-flat tyres Thanks Minigolf & lamsy for your feedback. I've found my speedometer is out by about 5KPH at 100KPH anyways, so any slightly higher profile will only bring it back to actual speed. I did the same thing with my previous (non-MINI) car for many years which was also out, by the same margin. This also had the added effect of improving fuel consumption ![]() Mike. ![]() 2005 JCW Mini Cooper S Chilli |

| This space aint long enou | 51,000km, yeeks thats pretty good. I did get around 65k from my front 16" runflats on my first Cooper, but my newbie now has 15,500km on her and the front tyres are about 60% worn. I do drive somewhat 'spiritedly' but always with the traction control on and i'm a little shocked how quick they are going. The rears still look new in comparison! As for the RunFlat v non RunFlat debate, i love my RunFlats, it takes the stress away from having a possible annoying flat, espec. with no spare on board. |
