Offline | Avon Run flat tyres? Hi all, I need to replace 4 tyres on my Mini and was wondering if anyone else is using Avon 17" Run Flat tyres? I've been offered these and they are quite a bit cheaper than other Run Flat tyres, I think £111 each. I also want to stay clear of the Pirelli's as the 2 back tyres have plenty of tread left on them, yet large holes have appeared around the inside of the tyre with what appears to be metal coming through (Can only guess this makes up the sidewall of the run flat tyre). Has anyone else experienced a similar problem? Thank you Justin |

Offline | I've been running the Avon ZZ3 Runflats for a month now, they seem less noisy than the Pirelli’s that I had but these were fairly worn. Other than that I don’t really notice any difference. £89 each sounds like a good price, I ended up paying £111 fully fitted but this was quite a bit cheaper than the Pirelli’s and Dunlop’s Justin |

Offline | sorry to butt in here, but dump the run flats. The ride and comfort difference of the car with out runflats on is amazing. a huge difference and id deffo recommend non run flats. |

Offline | I got them fitted by a company in Ashford called TyreWeb. I couldn't find any information on the Web about the tyres, but decided to give them a go as I'd read reviews on the Standard Avon ZZ3 and they were a better price. As I had to change all 4 tyres I was also thinking of changing to non run-flats but most fitters I'd called wouldn't fit non run flat-tyres. |

Offline | Long story, its gone wrong......... ![]() They quoted my on 'Reinforced' ZZ3's, not 'Runflats'. So I turned up at 4pm yesterday to get them fitted and had to come away, that is the reason for them being £89 each. They gave me a quote on the Avon Runflats, fitted&balanced at £110 each, and Pirelli Eufori's at the same price. Seeing as I have got the Pirellis on already I have gone for those. Dropped the car off this morning, and they have lent me a car for nowt for the inconvenience of yesterday. If they do a satisfactory job, I will do a full report tomorrow, i'm picking my MINI up at 5:30pm! ![]() For information, the cheapest Runflat tyres are Khumo's, and I was quoted at another garage £93 each, fitted. ![]() |
