| Banned | Porsche bbk fit? I have purchased a porsche bbk and i have 18s at the moment which will clear the porsche bbk with a 5mm spacer. I am thinking of getting the team dynamics pro race 1.2 in 17 inch. et38. Will the porsche bbk fit the smaller wheels? Any experience or knowledge of this setup? |

Offline | Even with et38 you'll probably need 5mm. I am gonna fit either a porshe or Ate BBK as soon as the cash arrives ... I have et45s at mo and will have a 16mm spacer! Thats equivilant of ET29-30 whereas et38 with 5mm will be equivilant to et33! Most manufacturers will just add a little extra to the back of the hub (machine a little less off) to reach the bigger offsets such as 38. So this essencially does the same as fitting a spacer to a smaller offset. Not sure if all do this but it could be your best option would be to forget the spacer and just fit a ET30 wheel? Have a word with roland if I were you. |

Online | Hi Guys, there are two areas to consider 1) Clearance inside the rim on the 17" wheels. -Most 17" 'non run flat rims ' are fine. 2) Clearance on the back of the spokes to the front face of the caliper. ET37 is your best bet for clearance and highest cornering speed. Most applications will still need a spacer ...usually 5 or 6mm. The occassional wheel design will need 15mm. If you have ET 45-48 you will usually need 15 or possibly 20mm spacers. Either way the wheels sit in the same place . Best Regards Roland GTT ![]() |

| Banned | Going to stick with the 18" wheels for the bbk. The guy who i got the bbk from gave me 12mm spacers and longer bolts. He also gave me the pads that roland supplied him and some brand new pads from porsche to go with the porsche calipers. He said he found the new pads less squeeky. Fitting the kit on wednesday. Im sure there will be a huge difference in stopping power as i have standard mcs brakes on at the moment. Cant wait ![]() |

| MINI2 Senior | Yep, those look good because they are spigoted (that 'lip' you see inserts into the hub assembly and spreads the load a bit, whereas with just a flat bit of metal there wouldn't be the same support as you can imagine). They look to be either Eibach or H&R as well, which only make quality stuff ![]() Cheers, Henry |
