| MINI2 Senior | 6mm spacers; bolt length required? This may sound like a stupid question ... ![]() Just brought some 6mm spacers which I plan to fit to the front wheels; how much longer should my wheel bolts be to accommodate these? Same size (I would think not)? 6mm longer? Cheers Neil GTT, GRS, Janspeed, JCW, OMP + various other bits - 232.6bhp, 191.2lbft on 1320's rolling road |

Offline | + 6mm minimum, upto (probably) +12mm. Just ensure the bolts fully do up ,and spin the wheel prior to letting the car down off the jacks. Best Regards Roland GTT ![]() |

Offline | Ah I see ... I thought you were saying 6-12mm was OK as long as you checked the bolts firmly done up and span the wheel to check for wobble etc. The question makes more sense now Durrrr.... bhozar is right demontweeks have a full catalogue of locking nuts in different sizes available. |

| MINI2 Senior | Right been measuring bolts tonight ... Stock bolt thread length is 25mm; adding 6mm spacers and have 35mm thread length on the new bolts therefore should be in pretty good shape for fitting the spacers and new bolts at the weekend ![]() Thanks for your help Roland and others ... PS: anyone want to buy some 16mm spacers and bolts? I brought all 4 spacers as a set from ebay and I only wanted the 6mm for the front. Both sets originally from GTT. | MINI2 Senior | Update ... fitted 6mm spacers yesterday without much drama. Differences noted so far: turn in seems a little sharper; front wheel position looks a little further out, as expected .Ordered new longer locking wheel nuts.
