hi, has anyone painted their standard alloy wheels black, if so have you any photo, and did the paint look good. want to get new wheels, but can not decide which, so thought will have current ones refurbished, the guy said can have any colour so thought black, got a black car.

I've painted the alloys black on my other car (it's a black VR6).. looks ok.. and did it myself.. but 2nd time around i'd get it done professionally...

Just do it.. whole point of having a Mini is making it personal!

IMO black with black isnt all that unless you leave part of the wheel standard IE the rim , Graphite grey looks great though on a black car and it most likely what i'll do next year when i need to refurb around easter time after the wife's killed them

black on black never looks as good as on a contrast car IMO. EG my car is DS and black with black trimmings and wheels. Looks great IMO....but having in the past had a black car on black rims, I can say it does not look as good IMO.

A work collegue of mine had a black cooper with black cooper s 17" alloys and it looked superb

i am going to get a set of anthracite 17" bullett to fit on my Pure silver MCS. i was going to anthracite the S-spokes i currently have but they're just too heavy. Failing that i may pick up some Team dynamics and get them anthracited instead.

i got a blue cooper, white roof white mirrors and did have white 17"s but now changed them to black !! it makes the car looks meaner ! well happy with them !

not got any pics yet, but i do like black wheels

right after the weekends muck on the road turning my wheels jet black, i think i will get the s-spokes done in dark anthracite, The car just looked so hard, at the same time i will be changing to non-runflats. i can't be bothered to change wheels again, plus i do really like the s-spokes.

to get them done white i found a company who give you loan wheels so you aint without your car

but these black ones are totally new wheels, sold the white ones now

dont think it looks boy racerish, it looks cleaner i think, even when its filthy !!
