| Lost in Mini2 | Well after running around all day at 32psi i found them to really bad.....like i've got a flat tire so gona put in 34psi and try that, may even go upto 35psi. Apart from that...seem ok ![]() Just put in 35psi and found it to be a MAJOR improvement......only went for a quick test drive, but its lookin good. ![]() JCW Black R105 - JCW Strut - More Mods Soon... | Lost in Mini2 | New update.....Been running these tyres with 2.5 bar (36psi) much better handling....does not feel like i've got a puncture all the time. Not sure how Andy P runs on 32psi..... as that was scary to drive. ![]() But a BIG but...... ![]() Have now done about 80-100 miles, which by then you would think that they would have worn off the coating. But they are really slippery when you get to speeds above 50mph....the whole car moves/slides when you go around corners. Now i have been driving the same roads, which i now very well, and my old worn Dunlops never behaved like this. It does not inspire confidence, when driving the car at speeds.not sure what the problem is, maybe i need to wear them in a bit more, but after 80-100 miles i though that would be enough. Any ideas....?? ![]() JCW Black R105 - JCW Strut - More Mods Soon... |

Offline | 36 psi to me is a lot more than i run. 34 on front and 32 on rear for me, and this came from Dunlop (as opposed to MINI) for the 205/40 R18 Dunlop SP 01 DSST I had with my JCW rims. Try lowering the pressure and see if the handling improves even if the road noise doesn't. ![]() |

| Lost in Mini2 | Another day running around on these tyres.....and no better....its just scary to drive at higher speeds. I'm going to try Damo's tyre pressures tomorrow and see how that is.....otherwise its back to the garage to get some other rubber. ![]() ![]() JCW Black R105 - JCW Strut - More Mods Soon... |

Offline | mm..strange that, i have thm on for 2 days now, done about 60miles, un still not sure about them, fast 2nd and 3rd gears, have the car pulling to the righ when i floor it....will have to check psi's as well ![]() ![]() |

| Lost in Mini2 | I've done about 150 miles now, also find it pulls better in lower gears. I actually find it pulls to the left when u floor it, but put it down to the camber on the roads. It would be good to know what psi or bar you are running...? ![]() oh and i have just changed mine to 34psi front and 32psi rear......as recommended by Damo ![]() Will give some feedback tomorrow. ![]() ![]() JCW Black R105 - JCW Strut - More Mods Soon... |

Offline | That tyre pressure was for the runflat Dunlops (but what i run for my yoko Paradas and works fine ). BMW recommended 32/32 but the Tyre Tech guy (at a BMW dealership) said he'd trust Dunlop over BMW.![]() |

| Lost in Mini2 | Been running 34psi front and 32psi rear this morning....seems to be an improvement over 36psi front and rear. I just find the car not as predictable as it used to be, and i still don't feel that confident going around corners with it.... ![]() But i think i'm getting there...just a bit more tweaking with pressures, and hopefully it will be ok. ![]() ![]() JCW Black R105 - JCW Strut - More Mods Soon... |

Offline | I'd keep the ratio about the same, so try 32 front 30 rear, or maybe 30 front 28 rear, but wouldn't go much lower than that. ![]() |

| Lost in Mini2 | Another update: Been running on 32psi front and 30psi rear for a few days now...and have found it to be too soft for my liking, so it's back to 34 front and 32 rear. That was the best compromise, but still not completely happy. ![]() JCW Black R105 - JCW Strut - More Mods Soon... |
