Alright Damo, I'm not too bothered whether they are 205 or 215, its just there are more tyre options in the 215's
I've also run on 35's before, which are fine for most people, but i have damaged my back recently, so want to stay with 40's for now

But yes your right the yoko parada are very nice

Has anybody had any exprience with the Asymmetric Goodyear Eagle F1 (215/35/R18), could do with some good tyres on as i'm taking the GP round the Nurbourgring in the summer .

Yokohama Prada Spec 2's for when its dry and Toyo T1 R's for when its wet.

New Tyres for 205/40 18s (JCW R95s)

Hi Guys,
Sorry to bump an old thread but thought better that than start a whole new one.
So it's that time again - new tyres needed for the JCW (200) 2004 MCS which is running on the R95s. Last time I changed from the runflats to the Michelin PS2s as recommended in this thread and elsewhere. Have to say I haven't been that impressed with them - not quite the quantum leap from the RFs that I was expecting and quite a lot of tramlining/wandering about on the admittedly bad UK roads round here (Berks/Oxon area). tried various pressures and mostly ended up with 32psi Front & 30psi rear though have tried higher at that ratio too.

So looking for recommendations from other users for other replacements - have people used the 215/40s on a non-lowered car without rubbing issues?
Even thinking that I might swap to 17s in an attempt to get better grip for the JCW if I can find a good wheel/tyre package around - again any suggestions for dealers/deals?

Any help gratefully received - thanks all!

Im running on the JCW R95's as welll.

Im using the toyo proxys px4 rubber. used the T1-R's before that as well and have had no issues with either. Totally love them. I would go back to the T1-Rs tho as they did have a better grip in the wet that the px4's but not much. Both great tyres and i will be sticking with them for a while.

Oh and yeah im lowered as well and have no rubbing issues. Although again im now running a 35 profile not a 40.

Andy

Keep 18" R95s or swap for 17" wheel/tyre package?

Thanks Andy - interesting...

So are the Toyos 215 or 205 width?
Still toying with the idea of trying to find a package deal on some nice 17s as 4 new 18" tyres are going to be close to £500-600 I guess.....

Anyone else got different tyres on their R95s?

They are 215/35...They look much better and not as streched as the 205's.

I'm on the Falken 452s in 205/35/18 on the R95s too. Loving the change having moved from Dunlop Runflats.
