Wales Dumped the run-flats

Just got rid of the awful run-flats, swapped all four for 205/45/R17 Falken ziex ZE512s all-round, fitted for £280 incl. balancing, yes £280 for four!

Transformation or what!

No more..

tramlining
veering off in all directions for no reason
wheel spin
huge puncture repair bills
bad backs

..generally much quieter as well as a slightly more comfortable ride.

Seriously, don't think about it like I did just do it, you won't regret it.

My Mini's a 2004 Cooper btw.

Happy days!!

Thats always someones first question when it comes to this.

Do people not know how many cars out there do not come with a spare.

What about the MINI's with 15" wheels that don't come with runflats. They only have a spare if you paid extra.

Can of tyre weld and a cigarette lighter powered air pump is all you need.

Wales Runflat alternative

If you don't like runflats Ultraseal is the answer, pumped into the the tyre before inflating it
you will never have punture again and lasts for the life of the tyre.
You can use any normal tyre.
Cost is about £20 per tyre Ive used it on my bike, far better than a spare.
Im going to try the Dunlop SP01s runflats, for a year or two.
[size=2]like the firm ride.15000 miles still on the orginals

I have the holts stuff and a pump, that way if its just a slow puncture I can top the air up instead and just get it repaired.

Not used it myself but heard bad things. Something about it sloshing around in the tyre so handling effected etc.

Hi, sorry for late reply, just bought some Holts Tyre weld from Halfords-the type that inflates as well as seals.
