| Peoples Republic Of Cork | Runflats gone !!!!!! Well I couldn't take it anymore and finally ditched the runflats on My R56 MC , the combination of Irelands roads and the stiff and heavy runflats were ruining the car , I fitted a set of 205 , 45 , 17 Pirelli P Zero Nero's and so far I am very happy with the results , I changed to non RF s on my last 2 MINIs and even though the R56 was better in most respects it was still dreadful on the RFs , G |

| Peoples Republic Of Cork | Best price in Ireland is probably eiretyres.com - Tyres for PASSENGER CARs cheap, bargains, look + save at € 113.80 ea delivered , mine were a lot less as I am in the trade . but shop around as Pirelli appear to be aggressive at the moment with pricing and I know the P Zero Nero are/were 'on offer' to dealers at the moment so a good price should be available G |

Offline | €113 is a lot cheaper than the €250 I was quoted for a Dunlop SP01 runflat tyre. Anyway, hopefully I won't have to buy tyres for a long time as my MINI is brand new and came with the aforementioned 17" Dunop runflats! |

Offline | Switching Just to clarify, does it make any difference to the rims what tyres are on it? What I mean is, is switching to normals from runflats going to make any difference to the rims? I was in with a local tyre guy and he gave me some spiel about the runflat rims not being suited to normals due to the reinforced tyre wall having a wider space internally to fit the wider tyre. Can you clarify this for me please?! Also, stupid question, but I presume it makes no difference to the pressure system in the car either? Thanking you in advance! |

Offline | Just bought a used R56 with 15k on the clock with run flats fitted. I know the cars are camber sensitive but I've noticed that driving on country roads in Somerset that I sometimes have to fight with the steering depending on the road surface. Do the run flats cause this and if so what are the problems associated with changing the tyres. |

Offline | He's either ignorant or feeding you a line to get you to buy the much more expensive runflats. There is nothing special about the rims. Won't affect the pressure monitoring system either. |
