Ireland AP Racing BBK wheel spacers

Can anyone tell me for definite what size spacer I will need to fit the AP Racing Big Brake kit to a 2004 MCS with std 17" S spoke wheels , I have read that spacers from 6mm to a crazy 25mm are needed , has anyone here actually fitted these and what spacers did you use . any help would be really appreciated as I don't need any complications .

It all depends on the wheels you have, and also depends which AP BBK your talking about.

304mm - Friend of mine uses 15mm spacers with his wheels, where mine would apparently only need 5mm.

If your taking about the much bigger AP kit then I have no experience.

Sorry missed that altogether. I'd say upwards of 10mm easily. I'm sure someone on here with webspokes had to have something crazy like 25mm. It all depends on the whee design.

Tried a search?

You'll need to fit 15mm spacers

If you look on the AP web site you should be able to down load a pattern so you can double check

I have the AP BBK (Lohen) and 17" S Spokes and can confirm that Lohen had to fit 25mm spacers to make them fit. So I've ordered some Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's instead as 25mm spacers look rather silly. Gone with the ET37 and am hoping they'll fit or at worse I'll need a 5mm spacer. Hope this helps lrlmin.

I think with ET 37 they should fit without spacers, although I'm not sure

Having just fitted the AP BBK I can now categorically say that the kit will require the use of 25mm spacers using the original S Spokes , not being prepared to use spacers this big We are using Borbet 7x17 wheels with 38mm offset which fit like a glove with NO spacers .

So are you happy with them. I´m about to buy them. Do you think It would be better to spend a bit more and to get a bigger BBK maybe 330mm. Maybe the 304mm it´´s more than enough. Right now I have the JCW Kit.

I have this AP Racing 304mm Kit.

I am running Team Dynamics Pro Race 1.2's with ET38 & 5mm spacers.

I was told by Lohen that ideally an offset of 35mm is required to clear the AP Racing 304mm kit. So in your case like the rest say, Im guessing you will need 15mm spacers. I was told that anything like 15mm spacing though is "quite" unsafe?
