Hey guys just wondering you buy your tyres from? I was looking for a quote on some eagle f1's or Goodyear Hydragrip's in 205/40(or35)/18? No one online seems to stock them?
Dunno about online but try Tyrespot. There's a few around the NE area. They have a good stock and a fairly well priced. Got some Dunlop SP01's only £5 more expensive than on than on Mytyres
I've used mytyres for a few years now with no issues but over suppliers are catching up on pricing. Used Falkens on other cars and they have been fine, I rated them higher than Yokohama but lower than Toyo's (on track use).
Snowie if your speedo is only overreading buy 5-6% it's pretty good most will over read by 10% as standard, there is no legal requirement for them to be accurate, iirc the only requirement is they don't underead. GPS Sat Navs are slighlty more accurate but if any incline or gradient is involved the become more inaccurate
Ive just replaced my front tyre's with 215/35/18 Goodyear Eagles F1's at £105 each fitted which is an awesome price when i was getting prices over £150 from other garages! This was not on JCW wheels it was on my Dare X4 Alloys.
This was at Canon Park Tyre Exchange in Middlesborough.
Cheers scotty was thinking of those Good years like, Gf lives near the boro so could be a good option! Is the ride any harsher with 35 non runflat and the 40 runflat i have at the min anyone?
I couldnt really say as ive more or less always had these tyres and wheels, it is slightly harsh but when you fit lowering springs and the like for modifications then that comfortableness of goes out the window when you dont stop modifying for performance! Not that 18" wheels help performance.
