Team Dynamics Mesh III Matt Black Wheels

Hi, sorry for another post. I am still deciding on the right wheels to put on my 03 Gloss black MCS. Weight is a concern and obviously if I can get lighter wheels than my current S spokes then thats goling to be agood thing especially on performance, brakes, tyres etc. Im told the BK299 are heavy at 12kg, so now im looking at the team dynamics wheels. Does anyone have any details regarding the Team Dynamics Mesh III Matt Black Alloy Wheels. As anyone got them fitted, any opinions would be much appreciated. Also if anyone knows the weight of these that would be good, also what is your opinions on matt black alloys on a gloss black car ?

Thanks
Nick

Hi, I was hoping for a reply on this. Has anyone had experiences with these wheels and know the weight.

Cheers

Heavy weight

I would have a look at Team Dynamic pro race 1.2's if you want to save weight as they are only 7.9kg a corner. They are strengthened by heat treatment as well so very robust. You will not get the polished lip but it will look knankered in no time anyway once water gets under the lacker. Have a look at lohens website for a gloss black mcs with glass black 1.2's on.

Hi Hedgetrimmer, thanks for your reply. I have been looking at the pro race 1.2's and I have seen the lohen website. The things putting me off is to be honest I dont like the thin spoke look , they look good if you have coloured calipers or shiny discs but my Mini doesnt. I more like the mesh look with a silver lip, hence the BK299's and the Mesh III TD. I agree probably the silver lip will become knackered over time, just need to look after them.
I will have to ring the company to get the weight of the Mesh III TD's, whats your feeling on matt wheels on a gloss black car ?

Cheers
Nick

I didn't think the BK rims where that heavy My GF has them and although not light sure they were lighter than the S Spokes. I'll check...

Hi Nick, I agree with you on the looks of the 1.2's as they are pretty basic but this is the reason they are so light. I have always loved the style of BBS rims which are similar to the BK's. Have you thought of oz ultraleggera's as they are sort of a hybrid of the two styles. Very light at 7kg and very classy if not expensive.

The 17" Ultraleggeras are 7.3kg, the 18's are 8kg. Still very good though
