Offline | My 2007 MCS has just under 2000 miles, and as of today the OBC shows 34000 miles left on front, 35000 on rear. Been engine braking as much as possible, just slowing down to a crawl without actually stopping at stop signs on back roads (without touching brakes) as long as noone's behind me and I can see noone's coming. |

Offline | Yeah my Nov 2006 build R56 Cooper is due it's first service in 3500km's and the front brakes are saying the same 3500km's to be replaced!! But I have checked the pads all round and I would say at least another 12 to 15000km's for them. Fergal. ![]() It's a MINI Clubman adventure! |

| This space aint long enou | I have over 28,000km on mine since March last year and on board the 'puter says 1700km to go. I took a trip to the dealer and according to their 'puter there is still enough meat on them to last to the first service scheduled at 40,000km!!! |

Offline | Big Bruder I thought that the wear sensors were linked to the BMW corporate network so that if BMW dealer revenue and profit growth is slipping the wear sensors on the appropriate number of customer's cars can be triggered to flag up the need for a pad change! ![]() ![]() |

Offline | Surely this is just a reminder to have them checked? I thought the sensors in pads were only activated when they touched the discs after the pads had worn right down? Red/Black R56 Cooper |
