Brake Fluid

Hi all,

I bought my Cooper S in June 07 and the previous owner had purchaed the TLC package. The car has already had its first brake fluid change (2yr ago) under the TLC package and the 2nd one is due in 11days. Will I get the 2nd brake fluid change under the TLC pack, or will I have 2 dig into my pocket to pay? If I do have to pay how much am I looking at, at a Mini/BMW dealership?

Thanks in advance

Ps. Sorry if this is in the wrong location, just didnt know where else to put it.

If this is the 2nd TLC service at around 25000 miles then the brake fluid is not covered unfortunately....

It will be around £70 + VAT + Brake fluid at the dealers i think, but dont hold me to that price.

Why not just take it to a normal garage with cheaper labour rates as the service book will only need stamping on the relevant TLC services, many people get oil changes every 6000 miles and the book would be full up if the got it stamped all the time.

Thanx Scott,

It hasnt reached its 2nd service yet as it only has 22k on, so still rougly another 3k until the service. Its jst the brake fluid service as it says there is only 10days left on the speedo.

So u recommend going to an independant garage? Will this independant garage be able to reset the brake fluid count down thing on the speedo?

Thanx

At this price id probably go to the dealer but ring around first for prices.

Not sure when the brake fluid change is due but then any garage should be able to remove the reminder!

Mine was £53 at Sytner Leicester.

At the price, stick to dealer. IMO
