Question Marks on Spiroslot rotor - is this normal?

I fitted a set of GTT Spiroslot rotors and pads to my MCS about a couple of months ago. The install went pretty smoothly and on the whole I'm very happy with them.

The only niggle that I have is that I've noticed that the right hand rotor has developed a pattern of dark spots all over the friction surface. The other disc is fine and I'm pretty sure that the marks weren't on the discs from new.

The brakes have about 600 miles on them now and I've taken it easy for that time to allow them to bed in.

I've attached pics of both discs for comparison.

My question is: is this normal? Is it anything to worry about and is it a result of something I've done wrong?

Normally I use Wonder Wheels, but I haven't had time to clean the car since I did the brakes!

So, no, I haven't sprayed anything on the discs.

Roland told me to brake normally to hard for a while to bed them in when I asked. I have about 250 miles on mine and haven't noticed any marks. I'll try to remember to look tomorrow.

Cheers,
K.

I actually saw your group of pics above and spotted there was one very similar to the avatar I had just uploaded about 5 minutes after I did it. I wasn't copying as I took the picture before I saw yours, honest. I could switch it to the opposite angle showing the Cooper S lettering and a 'Ring sticker I guess.

Mine's only a baby 230 and my Porsche brakes are on my Porsche rather than my Mini, though, and the calipers are the black version.

Back on topic - I forgot all about checking my Spiroslots today, sorry.
