How much would a set of 17" 'Flames' be worth?

As the title says really, how much would a set of perfectly mint 17" flames with dunlop runflats that have covered 800 miles, be worth?

I've had a look around on eBay and the like, but none ever seem to appear. I am ordering some new wheels, so would be interested in part funding them with a sale of my flames but I'll need an idea of price first.

Cheers

That much! Crikey, looks like the 18's are going to cost less than I thought!

BTW, are those 18" Inovit wheels you are running? If so what offset are they?

Cheers, how come you went for 225/40 instead of 235/35?

The offset is the ET of the wheel e.g. how far they stick out, they will be somewhere between ET35 and ET50.

I may be being thick here, but why would it look better?

Did you manage to find out what offset they were?

Just remember that if you fit non-run flats on a mini dealer will subtract the cost of putting 4 new tyres on any trade in..

....though you could probably worry about that in a few years..lol

I sold the Crown Spokes off my S for £600 - they hadn't been used at all tho, as I had the R109's fitted before I picked the car up

Hi, I have just registered with this forum as my wife & I bought a 2007 Coper S yesterday. It has the standard 16" wheels fitted and the 17" Flames are exactly what I am looking for.

If you want a quick no nonsense deal please mail me back or call me on my mobile 07808 092169

Thanks

Jon

Good point, I hadn't thought of that! I have also been a bit wary of the dealer refusing any warranty work, TLC etc with aftermarket wheels fitted. I might stick with JCW wheels instead.

Hi Jon,

Thanks for the message. Let me try and sort out my new wheels this week or next and then I'll be in touch either way to let you know the situ. In short, I'll give you first refusal.

Cheers
Kevin

Thumbs up It's a Deal

Thanks Kevin, thats great. We wont be picking up the Min for a couple of weeks so take your time. I live in Redditch but my office is based just south of Swindon so collection from Bristol is not a problem.

If it helps you budget for your new wheels if £600 is the asking price I will shake your hand on that and not mess you about.

Keep me posted

Jon

No worries mate, I think I'm going to go for some JCW wheel in the end to make sure there is no hassle with my warranty and TLC.

The last two MINI's that I have traded in all had none runflats on and there wasn't an issue with the dealer, and the GP I currently own came from a dealer with non-runflats and was one of the things which sold it to me

Aftermarket wheels won't cause you hassle with warranty or TLC

But if you want JCW wheels contact Chris as Woodmans, he will give you the best price on them

I posted a query on newminiscotland and the dealer (this dealer at least) replied that they would take money off a trade in if the car did not have runflats

I do not agree with this, but that is what they said

Well in that case I'd take my business elswhere if that is their attitude, but I can only speak from experience with Lister Park Bradford, and Derek Woodmans who had no such issues. And if there is some official notice issued by MINI then you'd have thought I couldn't have brought a car with non-runflats from a dealer?
