4 pot brakes, are they worth it?

I am looking at getting the AP racing 4 pot brake kit for my cooper s, but cant make my mind up.

Or i am thinking about doing the following: Uprated front and rear discs, uprated front and rear pads, braided hoses and uprated brake fluid.

Which set up does everyone think will be better?

I was considering the AP's until I saw the cost of replacement discs............................................. ...
£600 for a pair

Plus there not much bigger than the standard discs anyway.

There not that much, but still they are too expensive IMO for a replacement disc anyway, i got my AP BBK 2nd hand so it would not be that bad for me but i would not buy them new!

I got a price from Lohen and it was approx £300 IIRC.

Yes it is worth it. I have had Brembo's on my previous 2 cars and they were amazing. Tempted to go for some on mine now, but trying not to spend any more money on the car.

I agree but i would say that it is a great upgade for a fast road driver..... Although the price of new discs would still put me off.

How do you mean Karl? I've spoken to Nick at Lohen about them as well and he suggested they were purely a looks type BBK.

I thought AP would have been a safe bet...obviously not!

Is there a reason why no-one mentions either the Brembo GT Kits (£1000-1600) or the Willwood kits (£600-800)?

The ATE kit is mint. Good on price and only about 10% smaller than the GTT Porsche brakes....which are huge!

Get the slotted disc option though not drilled....drilled are weaker as a rule and slotted is just fine if the disc is massive anyhow!
