17" Alloys + Non Run Flats OR 16" Alloys + Standard Run Flats

Hi everyone, I have a question to guage peoples opinion and perhaps their own experience. What would be the best compromise for an overall driving experience, taking into account, ride comfort, stability & composure, handling and grip for an R56 MCS equipped with Sports Suspension, LSD & DSC?

I currently run my MCS on 17" Run Flats and after reading lots of threads on MINI2 I am now considering the option of switching to either non run flat 17's or for a similar cost downsizing to 16" alloys shod with standard run flats. What would you do?

I took a MC for a spin the other day which had 16's with runflats but no sports suspension and I found in the current cold weather driving conditions it was much more composed than my MCS on the country roads and much less twitchy over bumps and potholes and more confidence inspiring on cold and damp road conditions.

Any feedback would be much appreciated, thank you! Rich

17 inchers with non runflats, the 16" wheels wont look as nice on your S and the whole driving experience is better with non runflats

Chili Red R56 Cooper aero kit side repeaters, ITG panel filter, Eagle F1 GSD3's, Silver vision bulbs and soon to have a cat back exhaust and chip
