Take a look at the wheel and tyre stats posted my Miniac in a sticky it gives all the MINI2 users tyre stats. Judging by the numbers on the tyre size you mention there cant be any problems

The R56 is supposed to have more room in the wheel wells than the 1st Gen MINI but without knowing the width and offset of the wheels you're running the question can't be answered

i just put some toyo's 215/45/17r on my wife's mini one R56 and they are just perfect i prefered not using runflats as the roads we drive on as they are not that good so you might opt for non runflats too.

ehh the rims we used are off a first generation cooper s the 8 spoke ones
thay look nice on the R56
