Car belongs to Lucky Dave. Lot of custom work gone into it by the sounds of it.

Fitting Porsche wheels to Golfs has been a common mod in the VW scene.
You can buy hub adapters of the shelf to convert your hub from 4x100 to 5x130.

Should be a simple enough job

Been there tried that!

the problem is the porsche rims will be outside your arches by about 25mm!

I have seen the parts that were made, close up. They are far more complicated that a basic false bolt on hub.

Its taken him a lot of work and spare time to get it just right so it tracks true and fits all the calipers under without making the tyres sit illegally under the stock arches. if you fit a wide ass body kit then you might be able to use an off the shelf adapter.

Also you will need coilovers, to keep them out of the arches!

To be honest its not a route I would do again, the total cost is enough to purchase a used mini !

A set of Porsche wheels with the necessary adapters/spacers was up for sale last year: MINI COOPER :: North American Motoring - FS: Porsche Turbo Twists with Adapters. The adapters push offset out to +25 ET

Good find,

They are the 7x17, the 18 are 8 or wider!

The other big problem is the H&R adaptors are for VW fitment and the center hub is the wrong size, you could try to make a 0.5 mm spigot ring??? or machine out the adaptor and fit a bigger ring.

But it would not help with the brake fitment

I will try to find some pics of the hub work I did......OEM Porsche Discs!

That looks nuts.

Do you think you could get 25mm milled of the hub or centre of the wheel so they could fit under the arches?
