Offline | Pro Race 1.2s with Toyos I bought a set of 17" Pro Race 1.2 et38 with 205*40 Toyos from Halfords today. Not my usual source of product, but the price including fitting was £750.00 with t1r's. I just thought it was a great deal, as I haven't found the same tyre wheel combo for that price anywhere. Just thought I'd let you all know ![]() |

Online | Hi captint, I bought the same wheels a few weeks ago from Halfords for my GP as a track day wheel. Unfortunatly I couldn't benefit from the free Toyo upgrade as I went for 205/45/17(as I wanted to keep the same rolling radius), I got Federal tyres instead, first impressions are good though, a lot better than runflats! They look great don't they, I should have some pictures by weekend ![]() |

Offline | Not go them on yet, will get them delivered on Thursday. Then need to get my Eibachs and AP's put on before the wheels. Will post pics once its done. I looked at going for a cheaper web option, I think it was billy bobs tyres on ebay, went from £599 - £689. But to be honest the tyres are the clincher. I have run Toyos before and they are a great tyre, the Kumhos, Flaken and various other options, just don't really cut it for me. I am running a MCS with GTT 240 upgrade, so I need something that will hold the power down. |

Offline | Got my 1.2s today with toyos. Whacked them on, they looked awesome, makes my mini look really mean. I need to get my Eibach springs on through, as the lower profile tyres really highlights the gap between the tyre and the arch. Impressions of the Toyo are great, I had Falkens on the front and runflats on the back before (don't ask why!!). The Falkens seemed ok, but now they just pail into insignificance. The Toyos are so sticky, the traction in 1st and second is so much better, pretty no wheel spin in second. They grip so well, it really makes a big difference. The ride is much harder, i guess due to the lower profile and it will get more so with the new springs, but its a small sacrifice for the improved traction. Will post pics, once the springs and brakes have been done, next week I hope |
