Cheers james, it really was a lovely car. It actually turned more heads than my R56 with full JCW Kit/Spoiler etc.

Im gutted i couldn't buy the R56 and keep that one aswell but money is always the issue with situations like that. But more than happy with my new one though.

Adam,
I am running 19"x 8" rims with 215/35/19" tyres on my lowered R53 with no drama's.
I have 17"s also for track days.
There is no difference in ride between 18"s with 35 series or 19"s with 35 series.
Just stay away from 30 series & get the correct offset & you will be fine.
Keep in mind people were saying 18"s were too big years ago too, so don't be put off by detractors, i personally think 15"s or 16"s with big sidewalls look ridiculous, its all up to you.

Still think they are too big. I think 18" are classy but 19" well they don't look like they should be on the car, specially 19's with only few spokes.

I disagree but then thats what modifying is all about.
The large wheel arch diameter of modern cars lend themself to large rims.
That's modern car design & partly why new cars are fitted with 17"s, 18"s, 19"s & even bigger in stock trim these days, the days of small rims are long gone IMO.
But we are all entitled to our own opinions of course.
