18"OZ Superturismo GT or 18"OZ Ultraleggera?

I'm planning to purchase a set of wheels for my 2003 MINI Cooper S, dark grey and black roof.

I desperately need advice, I like the 18"OZ Superturismo GT or 18"OZ Ultraleggera. Which wheels would you suggest and why?

Thanks a ton for all your help in advance

Really like the Superleggys but only with a BBK. Turismo is nice if a bit dated looking. Just my tuppence.

Lies need defending all the time. The truth defends itself.

Ultraleggera simply because of the difference in weight. Well worth the weight saving.

Having said that Superturismo WRC's on my car would look mint

if itsweight loss and good looks you want, try a set of Speedline Corse Turini's. They are the same as Lohen have on their demo car, ar elight weight and look really nice, think even in 18's if yu shop around they will cheaper than the OZ's

I would choose the Ultraleggera's, because they are lighter than the Superturismo's. The Ultra's have less spokes to clean as well .

I have Ultraleggera's on my MINI, but mine are 17" .

You can't get the Turini's in 18" for the MINI, plus the Ultra's are lighter

Speedline Corse Turini 17"x7" = 8.2kg
OZ Ultraleggera 17"x7" = 7.3kg

Last time I checked (admitiidly it was 2 years ago now) couldn't get them on a 4x100 PCD only a 5 stud Which was a shame as I really liked them. Oh well

Ultraleggera's are still ligther though (Superleggera's more so )

Why oh why..

...go for 18:s on a MINI! It is "only" looks and not performance(?). Costs a fortune too. Explain that to me, I do not understand.

18's with normal tyres will be far better for performance than 16's with Runflats So you get both performance AND looks. If you get a light 18" wheel then they'll be even better for performance. The 18" Superleggeras and Tyres I have weigh less than the lightest MINI OEM 16" with runflats!

The only thing to understand is freewill, people have the freewill to sacrifice some extra performance for looks.
