Track Day Tyres

Would be grateful if someone could recommend a good track day tyr for my 17 inch wheels for S Works

I assume that non runflats would be better?

One other alternative for me would be to get a second set of wheels -are 16's better for track days?

Any help grately appreciated

Thanks

Great in the dry. You wont find a better road legal track tyre IMO.... but they are fairly lethal in the wet due to the big surface area (which is what makes them so sticky on the dry track)

They are £105 each on Black circle is you use a discount code. They are truley amazing in the dry. But as Richard said, they are a nightmare in the wet/damp or even if you make contact with a drain cover

Get a 2nd set of wheels with track tyres.
Whether it be 16" or 17", 2 x sets is the only way to go if your serious about track work.
Track tyres are a comprimise at best on the street & they wear out extremely quickly due to their softness.

smaller wheels will be cheaper on rubber, and 16" alloys about 100 quid cheaper than 17 at halfrauds as well,
but if the track bug bites you may be looking for bigger brakes in which case the most powerfull ones tend to fit 17" although you can go 16" with jcw and wilwood and there are some effective oem size pads and discs available all becomes a balance between track and road and also how deep are your pockets
