What brake pads to eliminate dust?

I hate what the brake dust does to my nice white wheels. Which brake pads are the best for eliminating that? I've seen several different makes but have a hard time differentiating the amount of dust each would produce.

I do NO track driving (though it would probably be fun)
2002 Cooper (not S) with standard 15" white 8 spokes.

Please help.

Also, I've read some about the brake pad sensor... would an aftermarket pad work with that?

Thanks in advance!

i think greenstuff pads help reduce the brake dust. There are several, yellow and red but I think the green ones are best for road use.

The pads that are specially made for each car, in this case mini have the slot for the brake pad sensor as well.

Although to be fair, I replaced my pads and disks and have had no brake dust whatsoever since they were done.

Hope that helped

I have used Green Stuff in the past and they help a lot. No pads are completely dust free though. I now have Red Stuff ready to fit, EBC say they are their lowest dust pads. Due to illness it'll be months before I can fit them so your question came a bit to early for a definite answer.

Some people are like a Slinky ........ not really good for anything, but you still can't help
but smile when you shove them down the stairs

Hawk HPS pads have much less dust, and what is there is lighter and cleans off easier
than the oem pads. Plus, they perform well. Close to stock cold, better than stock warm,
less fade, and quiet. The back ones don't have the slot for the sensor, so you have to tie
it off.

green stuff

I went for Green stuff on my 2003 Cooper S.

Though I haven't tried to quantify the difference but they do seem to look white for longer in the summer (dry weather). In winter (wet weather) I haven't noticed a big diffrence. Thats just my very subjective opinion. One thing is for certain, you can't expect miracles with white wheels and wet weather, regular cleaning is the only real solution. The only other option is don't do white .
