Offline | Fixing Little stone Chips on wheels Today i noticed that there are two little stone chips on my wheels. Near the centre where the nuts are and it is not noticeable at all as it blends in with the wheels. They are only about 3mm wide, the other stone chip is behind one of the spokes which is strange. I wasnt worried about it as they arent noticeable but Nylo mentioned the possibility of corrosion. She said possibly Nail Varnish over the chip to stop it from corroding or spreading but I want peoples opinions on what they have done with theirs as well. The varnish sounds like a good idea but what other things can be done. BTW they are kei racing force 10's in hyperblack. Cheers ![]() |

![]() Settled.. | if your talking about like a clear nail varnish then sure, but my concern would be when cleaning the wheels with something like wheel acid, it might eat through the varnish. i would be inclined to use the little lacquer touch up stick that you get with the DS rather than the nail varnish cos its made to withstand acids & cleaners etc. If you didn't do anything, then over time you might get water under the paint or original lacquer of the wheel & it wil lead to milky white spots around the chips & will blister further around the wheel. |

Offline | You can get it from your dealers. It is meant for little stone chips on paint. Min happened because i parked in a car park with loose gravel and someone wheel spun and a stone hit my wheel. Luckily not too big. Im going to buy new wheels for winter, prob s spokes or something just for winter to save my new wheels ![]() |
