Looking to change from Bullets

3 of the tyres on the MCS conv are wearing and need replacing. The alloys are 17" bullets on the car at the moment so was thinking of changing and buying new style alloys and tyres but I'm not sure if the later Mini alloys fit ie; Flame Spokes etc. The car is a 2005 conv.

Any advise?

They will fit fine, a number of people have changed to later (R56) alloys. The bolt pattern is the same on all MINIs from 2001 onwards. In fact the flame spokes you mentiona re one of the only alloy styles to have been carried over from the 1st gen to 2 gen MINI.

Yes, if you mean new style stock wheels.

I ran the GP wheels, which are the 14mm bolt, on the Cabrio, which had the 12mm bolts. No problem.

Thanks for the replies.

I just missed out on a set of flame spokes on ebay yesterday at £600 for the set. I'll keep looking though as I need new tyres very soon.

Yep, I keep looking.

Although I need to get some pretty quick as the tyres that are on the car at the moment really need changing soon, so if I don't find alloys and tyres I may just have to fork out for 3 new tyres on the Bullets.
