I am thinking about changing my alloy wheels.

Is there anything in need to know about the fact that my car has runflats? as I want the wheels to be the same dimensions as my existing ones (17")

Just keep the same rolling radius and your fine.
Non-RFT's will be fine. Chuck a can of tyre weld in the boot!

Depending on the build date of your MINI, there might be things to consider if getting aftermarket wheels ...
