JCW Drilled / Slotted Front Discs

JCW Drilled / slotted front discs

Just fitted the above

My original discs had got badly grooved up ( must be dirt from roadworks each day on way to work )

Seeing as the JCW's were only £10 a disc more i decided to fit these.

However, any body who's fitted these, have you noticed they're not 'handed'. Same disc for nearside & offside

Does this sound odd seeing as the holes / slots hit the pad in a different orientation.

Yes this is correct - they are not handed.
Some manufacturers do them handed and other do not, all down to cost at the end of the day

In Italy

Fitted them at the weekend with JCW calipers. Disks can fit either side.

I bought the JCW calipers and pads of ebay for £250 straight from the supplier. got R56 disks for £140 from a dealer. Total cost £390 while the cheapest full kit price from a dealer was £550.

Looks like more than myself was busy this weekend

Do either of you two guys have any views on 'bedding in' procedure. I usually just go careful for 100 miles or so, avoiding heavy breaking. But i just read an article from Stoptech that gives a breaking in procedure that 'goes' against this approach.

Not sure which road i could use for their procedure though
