Offline | Pirelli Eufori@ or Dunlop SP01? Hi fellow MINI owners, I have a 2006 MINI Cooper S Checkmate with 205/45/17 Pirelli Eufori@ tyres. So far I have been really happy with them and I do drive in a spirited manner. The car has covered almost 17,000 miles and has been on the track once for a whole day. Approx. 180 miles worth of driving hard. The tyres will need replacing in the next 2,000 miles I think and I want to stick with Run Flats as the car is used 99% of the time on the road, otherwise I would look at the Yokohama A539 as these are definitely better for track driving. So . . . . the point of this Thread . . . . . Pirelli Eufori@ or Dunlop SP01? I know the Dunlop's tend to cost more but if they are a better tyre and last longer I am sure they are worth it. It seems the new R56 Cooper S' come with Dunlop's. Please let me know what you all think about these tyres, anyone out there who has tried both? Thanks |

Offline | I've not tried the Dunlop SP01. But i had the Pirelli Euforia runflats on my first MINI, and had the Dunlop SP9000 DSST runflats on my current MINI. Personally i found the Dunlops were superior in every way to the Pirelli's . Another runflat you might want to consider are the Kumho ECSTA SPT KU31 runflats. There the cheapest runflat on the market. See below how they compare performance wise ![]() http://www.1010tires.com/tirecompare...e=1&prevpage=1 |

Offline | I've had Pirelli and Dunlop (currently have OE Dunlops on my R56 MCS); the Pirelli is not to be recommended as it tram-lines when it is down to 4mm, the Dunlops are superior... but... I've now got Goodyear RSA EMT's all round on my Cooper (last pair fitted at 130,000 miles) and they are as good as the Dunlops and a lot cheaper. I've tried a friend's with Kumho and it does seem to slide about a bit more. All-in-all, I've been very pleased with the Goodyears. |

Offline | +1 I've had the exact same experience. I ran the Dunlops down to the wear bars without any issues. I had 3 flats with the Eufori@s. Same roads / same driving conditions. I have the Kumhos now - so far so good. Alan |
