No, they said either will fit and they had both sizes in stock. I went for the 215/40 as the side wall is only 4mm larger than the original 205/40. But they did say that if I was going to lower the car (which I'm not) then I should go for the 215/35 instead.
I've just got back from a two "test drive" setting up the tyre pressure on some really greasy roads and the new Prada's stick like glue in the wet. Didn't think they would, but they do!
Paul.

With paradas do you find bits of rubber up the side of the car since they are basically a track tyre?

I find the 18s more comfy than the S Spokes with 18s. I took it over craigantlet this week and it was fantastic for grip plus I bumped into the blue Cooper again that followed us back from the run.

Someone talked me out of paradas and that was one of the reasons.

I'm interested to hear the other reasons for not getting a set of Prada's, I think they're great!
I wouldn't describe the Prada as a "track" tyre, the Toyo Proxes R888 are a track tyre.

Had four new Yokohama Prada Spec 2 tyres fitted this morning, the tyres are a 215/40 R18 size. The tyres fit, there is no rubbing anywhere, not even on full lock.
I've driven the tyres for about thirty miles in the pouring rain and so far I've found that there is a MASSIVE improvement in ride comfort compared to the Bridgestone Potenza run-flats, bumps in the road now go bump instead of bang, road noise is reduced and there is more feel through the steering.
And even though the tyres are brand new and it was seriously pouring with rain here today, the Prada's have far more grip than the Potenza's. Not sure if it's because the Prada's are AA traction rated or it's the tread design of the Prada's or the compound, but in my opinion they grip better than the Potenza's.
As for the look of the tyres on the car, they fill out the arch a bit more giving the R56 a more chunky and squat look.
I'm very happy with them, can't wait to drive the car in the dry!!!
Paul.
Paul, good write up, thank you
What sort of price was it for 4? And you'd recommend them as 215/40s over the 205/40 RFs?

I like them, but i don't think the Prada's are going to be the longest lasting tyre in the world?
I paid £420 for four fitted, but my mate does own the tyre centre!
