Offline | Rubbing problems with new wheels I'm about to buy a new set of rims. I've been reading about offset and so for a long while but I can't figure out if my new rims once assembled will give some sort of rubbing problems. The new wheels will be 7x17 with ET37. Tyres: 205/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A W. I've got a friend who says he has had problems with his R90 replica as the ET is 40. Also 7x17. Let's hear the voice of the experience this time. At least, the garage allows me to try the wheels for a while to see if this problem happens. Let you know to sort out this problem to someone else in the same situation. |

Offline | I've got a R53 JCW. I'm about to get a new rims and a month later I'll get the coilovers. So, I don't want to get any problems then. I know I'll be using 205/45/17 Bridgestone Potenza RE050A. And I know I won't get the car lowered more than an inch at the front and a bit -0,8 inches at the back when I get the coilovers. Hence, which is the right ET for a set of 7x17 wheels not to get problems of rubbing? Also, I must say my Mini has got a set of Wilwood BBK assembled so I need some space to fit in. |
