Question about locking wheel nuts

Hi,
I need to get some locking wheel nuts but most places ask what make your car is not what make your wheels are. I have aftermarket wheels so my question is are locking wheel nuts to match the car or the wheel...or both?

Thanks,
Crammy

When deciding on locking wheel nuts, check the size of them, they have to be the same size or a tad longer.

Also the locking wheel key, try and get one like the normal mini one, so that it is a solid key instead of a socket type key.
Just incase it breaks like mine did

They need to know the bolt size and thread pitch. If you've got an R53 up to the last builds, you'll ned an M12 with 1.5 thread pitch, IIRC.

Lies need defending all the time. The truth defends itself.

I nipped round to the dealer - it took some 20 minutes to get the exact nut for my 2006 MCS, but it only cost 5 euro. I was worried that they'd have to charge the time-spent.
