Run Flats vs Non Run Flats

Hi! I currently have a 52 plate MCS with 17" wheels which I've had for about 7 months. I've been considering changing to non-run flats as I hate how bumpy the ride is.

I hate to ask the age old question, but what are people's experiences after switching to non-run flats? Is the ride actually that much softer and have you had any problems with the tyre pressure sensor, suspension etc??

Also, just had an MOT and have been told that I need the front and rear pads and discs changed....would anyone suggest upgrading these or is it worth just sticking with the standard ones?

The JCW brakes are a good upgrade.
